On The Rocks: ART WORKS
April 15th 2012
With St Andrews On The Rocks Festival upon us (running from the 14th - 22nd April), and with a seemingly unlimited supply of student theatre, comedy, film, poetry or dance events to attend, keep an eye on Owl Eyes over the coming week as we discuss select events before they occur so you don’t miss out on the weeks' hottest shows.

ART WORKS
Where: Barron Theatre, North Street
When: 18th April, 8 -11pm
Admission: Free
As the only exhibition in the On The Rocks line-up, Art Works is a joining of forces between the Art Society and St.Art magazine and will be well worth a look. The exhibition will showcase the creative spoils of Art Society’s numerous workshop, sketching expeditions and life drawing sessions from this year, as well as a number of carefully curated works from hand-picked artists.
Drawing, photography, painting and mixed media will be shown alongside sound installations and the launch of St.Art’s fourth printed issue, not to mention a showing of the winning films from this year’s 60 Hour Film Blitz.
Drinks will be provided by Squeeze, with live music from DJ Falk Morawitz, and jazz quintet Brass Monkey. Free wandering henna artists are also promised, so that even the attendees will be aesthetically pleasing.
ART WORKS is set to be a rich, artistic extravaganza of an evening to round up a year of creativity in St Andrews.
